The North Palm Beach Big Book Step Study Group
The North Palm Beach Big Book Step Study Group (NPBBBSS) started in October of
1988.
This study group was created by a former member of the Hyannis Massachusetts Men's Big Book Step Study Group
with the assistance from other individuals.
The North Palm Beach Big Book Step Study Group is an open, co-ed meeting.
The reading and study rotation for all of the meetings takes place in a twelve-week
cycle.
In accordance with the Second Tradition, the NPBBBSS has decided to study and discuss the
Twelve Steps starting where the directions for Step 1 begin (page 30) and ending where the directions for
Step 12 end (page 103).
It has been the "hard learned" experience of the NPBBBSS that by focusing exclusively on pages 30
to 103 (where the 12 Steps are articulated) the clarity in the teaching and the transmission of the message of the
12 Steps has changed for the better.

Alcoholics Anonymous North Palm Beach Florida Meeting List:
Conclusion
If a person looks hard enough, he or she will even be able to find an Alcoholics Anonymous
North Palm Beach Florida meeting list!
What causes college students to abuse alcohol? College students abuse alcohol
because they can, because it can be fun, because alcohol is so accessible, because their friends
and other students are doing it, because drinking makes them feel good, because alcohol helps them
relax and open up more in social situations, because of peer pressure and peer influence, and
because drinking
alcohol is accepted. |
| It is truly sad that the "fun" and the "buzz" that many people experience when
drinking frequently motivates them to drink more each time they drink and to drink more often. At
some point, the line between alcohol abuse and alcoholism gets blurred as the person gradually
becomes more reliant on alcohol until he or she simply needs to drink in order to function. Similar
to silent killers such as high blood pressure and high cholesterol, however, realizing the damaging
consequences of alcoholism may come too little, too late. |
